Developing A Digital Content Marketing Strategy For A Technology Company.

I’ve been supporting the marketing team at GPS vehicle tracking company Navman Wireless with content strategy, copywriting and public relations over the past few years. In the beginning, when I first started working for Navman, the focus was on getting them the biggest share of voice in the trade press, using good old fashioned PR and media skills. The result was a steady stream of Navman Wireless stories and a very healthy looking cuttings book each year.  I also put a few shifts in in the copywriting department as well, producing well crafted words for product brochures and adverts. Then we began to look to expand the Navman brand presence across digital channels to help drive traffic to their sales website. I helped to develop and launch a content marketing strategy online. The plan including sprucing up the website, integrating a blog and social sharing, and offering some valuable content – blogs, articles, video and infographics. The campaign increased web traffic, traffic from social media, lead conversions and sales opportunities.
