Using Influencer Marketing To Attract Investors To A Start-Up.

An entrepreneur and scientist visited London in 2017 to present his new biotech start-up company to potential investors.  The business needed capital to further develop an exciting, but potentially controversial therapy for a particular medical condition. I was hired me to create word-of-mouth buzz among potential investors ahead of the CEO’s visit, but without attracting unwanted media coverage. My plan was to assemble between 50-100 potential investors and get each investor to direct message other potential investors on Twitter during the event to generate further interest. From 200 attendees in the room, the campaign reached over 2,000 via DM on Twitter. The company received over 70% of the investment needed to further develop their product.
